Jonathan Zhou
Hello, I’m Jonathan, a senior at Sage Hill School and Founder of VeteranCare MedLink. As Founder and President of the Veterans Hospital Sage Hearts for Heroes Club, and initiator of Sage Hill’s Independent Service-Learning Project with the Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center, I create opportunities for students to support veterans directly in hospital departments. As a volunteer in the VA’s GI Lab and Physical Therapy Clinic, I assist with patient care, clinical preparation, and specimen transport, seeing firsthand the responsibility and precision medicine demands. Beyond healthcare, I captain the Irvine Grizzlies, a unified varsity hockey team constructed from Irvine schools, and founded Sage Hill’s Roller Hockey Club. I’m an MTAC State Convention Panel Finalist and Masterclass Qualifier in piano, and a VFW Voices of Democracy award recipient, recognized as an Outstanding Spokesperson for Freedom. I’ve also attended the Summer Science Program in biochemistry, where I researched how to inhibit proteins in fungal plant pathogens. Through leadership, athletics, music, and service, I work to build discipline, empathy, and integrity, which are qualities essential to a career in medicine.
Micca Su
Hello, I’m Micca Su. I am a senior at Fairmont Preparatory Academy and a member of VeteranCare MedLink. I hope to pursue a future centered on writing and storytelling, using words as a way to explore ideas and connect with others. I am dedicated to contributing to my community through peer editing and active involvement in school organizations. In addition to writing, I am deeply interested in psychology and how it shapes human behavior and relationships. I believe creative expression is one of the most meaningful ways to understand and connect with people. In everything I do, I aim to approach opportunities with purpose, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous growth.
Daisy Huang
Hello, I'm Daisy, and I am a student at Pacific Academy with a passion for healthcare, service, and leadership. As President of MED Club, I collaborated with students from local high schools to organize a volunteer initiative at a VA Hospital, creating opportunities for peers interested in medicine to gain meaningful exposure to healthcare settings while serving veterans in our community. In addition, I have completed over 100 hours of internship experience in medical clinics and regularly volunteer with hospice organizations supporting elderly patients. Beyond healthcare service, I serve as Vice President of Science Olympiad, President of the National Honor Society, and earned the Piano Certificate of Merit Advanced Level State Honor. Through service, academics, and the arts, I strive to develop the compassion, leadership, and dedication needed to make a positive impact in both medicine and my community.
Henry Liu
Hello, I'm Henry, and I am a rising junior at Albany Academy with a strong interest in understanding how human health is shaped by the environment and the world around us. This summer, I will be volunteering through Saratoga Hospital's SOAR program, where I will support patients, families, and healthcare professionals in clinical settings while developing valuable communication and patient-care skills. I also founded the HOSA chapter at Shenendehowa High School, leading research projects, community events, and outreach programs that promote health education and student engagement in healthcare. Beyond medicine, I am a USA Biology Olympiad Semifinalist, British Biology Olympiad Gold Medalist, three-time National Latin Exam Gold Medalist, and competitive AAA hockey player who has represented New York State and will compete for Albany Academy's prep team this fall. Whether I am working with patients, competing on the ice, or studying biology, I strive to approach every opportunity with enthusiasm, empathy, and an open mind.
Taym Beydoun
Hi, I’m Taym, a sophomore at Beckman High School. I joined VeteranCare Medlink because I want to make a difference in the lives of people who need support. I’ve volunteered at Cedars-Sinai and the VA Hospital, which has allowed me to gain experience helping others and serving my community. At school, I’m also a class representative for the Youth Action Team. Outside of volunteering, I enjoy playing basketball and violin. Through VeteranCare Medlink, I hope to encourage more students to get involved and contribute to projects that support veterans and people in need.

Hi! I’m Ania, and I am a sophomore at Esperanza High School. I’m excited to serve as a School Leader for VeteranCare Medlink. I enjoy volunteering and giving back to the community. Through this role, I hope to encourage more students at my school to get involved in service, develop leadership skills, and make a positive impact. I’m looking forward to working with other volunteers and supporting our veterans through meaningful community projects.
